Naafia Naahemaa is a visual artist working with photography, moving image, sound, and material-based processes. Her work engages with African memory, opening up new artistic forms through which these are preserved, transformed, and carried forward.
 

She also develops a curatorial and cultural programming practice that examines how institutional structures shape engagement with art, cultural memory, and artistic production. Her work addresses questions of access, representation, and institutional responsibility, with particular attention to African and diasporic perspectives and to the handling of cultural heritage. She develops collaborative curatorial formats centered on transparency, dialogue, and responsible practice, creating meaningful encounters between artists, institutions, and audiences.

Her practice further extends across art direction, design, and production, spanning visual, spatial, and cultural projects in both artistic and commercial contexts.
